Steering Group Recruitment
As you may be aware, the Steering Group recently partnered with Bassetlaw District Council to host two Know Your Place events in Walkeringham Village Hall. It was a chance for residents to have a say regarding what they felt are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for Walkeringham, as well as a chance to comment on the current Neighbourhood Plan policies. Some valuable initial feedback was obtained, and this will be published on the BDC website in the coming weeks.
We now need to move to the second stage and look at further public consultation to gauge what matters to the villagers today and check that the policies in the Neighbourhood Plan are still fit for purpose, comply with current legislation and are relevant.
The Steering Group is keen to attract new members from the parish of Walkeringham to help co-ordinate the activities involved in public consultation and analysing feedback to identify which policies might benefit from an update in some way.
Is this something that you might be interested in? If so, please contact the Clerk, Angela Hayward via email at clerk@walkeringham.info.
Alternatively, you would be more than welcome to come along to the next Steering Group meeting to meet the Steering Group and listen to a meeting before making any commitment.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday the 1st of October at 7:30pm in the Village Hall Committee Room.
For current, historical and background information please look at the Projects -> Neighbourhood Plan section of this website.
