James Wilsey

I have lived in Walkeringham since 2017. Prior to this my wife and I lived in Auckland, New Zealand for 15 years, and before this West Yorkshire.

I qualified as a Graphic Designer working for large advertising agencies before emigrating to New Zealand in 2001. I have been self employed since 2004, running a mobile car paint repair operation.

We returned to the UK in 2016 choosing Walkeringham to be our home. I’ve also been a residential landlord since 2006. Running a small business and being a landlord has exposed me to many issues relating to compliance and dealing with the needs of people on a regular basis.

I’m fairly well travelled and enjoy what travelling brings. I’m a keen cyclist and love the countryside and the environment in which I live; this aspect is very important to me.

I have a collaborative approach to solving problems, supported by my positive attitude.
